WOBURN — Woburn Public Schools is proud to announce its second year participating in Unified Bowling through the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA), continuing its commitment to inclusive athletics and student engagement.

The team competes against other schools in the Middlesex League every Monday from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Kings Dining & Entertainment in Burlington.

The program brings together students with disabilities and students without disabilities, working as teammates as they foster respect and friendship during each match.

Unified sports programs are designed to promote inclusion and understanding by providing opportunities for students of all abilities to compete together. Through Unified Bowling, student-athletes build confidence, strengthen social connections, and develop leadership skills in a positive and supportive environment.

Woburn’s athletes are supported by the staff at Kings, who ensure that all participants are comfortable during competitions. The venue also provides pizza and french fries for participants, adding to the fun atmosphere students enjoy.

“Our Unified Bowling program reflects how Woburn Public Schools approaches education and athletics,” said Superintendent Matthew Crowley. “By bringing students together in the spirit of teamwork and inclusion, we are helping them build meaningful relationships, develop confidence, and learn the importance of supporting each other.”
