Attleboro Fire Department Responds to Crash Involving Van on Interstate 95

ATTLEBORO — The Attleboro Fire Department responded Friday morning to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 95 North near Exit 6.

On Friday, Feb. 27, at about 9:21 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to Interstate 95 North for a two-vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, crews found minor damage to a group home van, which was carrying seven residents and four staff members at the time of the incident. All occupants were evaluated at the scene.

All 11 people in the group home van were transported to local hospitals by the Attleboro and North Attleboro Fire Departments for evaluation. All reported minor or no injuries, but group home policy requires all occupants to be transported to the hospital for evaluation following a crash.

The driver in the second vehicle involved was not injured.

The Central Falls (Rhode Island), Mansfield and Plainville Fire Departments provided mutual aid.

The crash is being investigated by Massachusetts State Police.
