MEDWAY — The Medway High School Music Department is proud to recognize 10 students who have been accepted to perform in the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) All-State Ensembles following recent auditions held at Grafton High School.
The student were accepted into the statewide festival after receiving qualifying scores at the regional district festival auditions on Jan. 24, advancing to All-State auditions.
This year, 1,211 students across Massachusetts auditioned for the All-State Ensembles, with 764 musicians ultimately selected for the festival.
Accepted students will participate in All-State rehearsals on March 20, followed by dress rehearsals and performances on March 21 at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester.
Four new ensembles have been added to the program this year: SSAA Chorus, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble with Vocalists and Contemporary Ensemble.

“I am immensely proud of all our students who auditioned to perform at the All-State festival,” said Medway High School Performing Arts Coordinator Amanda Webster. “This is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet musicians across the state who share the same passion. Choir Director, Ashley Nelson, and I are proud of our students for taking advantage of this chance to grow.”
