Southeastern Technical Institute to Host Open House, Free In-Person Events

SOUTH EASTON — Executive Director Kevin A. Lazaro is pleased to announce that Southeastern Technical Institute (STI) will host three free in-person events this month to introduce adults to opportunities in the healthcare field, ahead of the Spring Open House set for late March that will showcase all of the institute’s career training programs.

STI, the adult education arm of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, offers 10 different career training programs in healthcare and skilled trades. Designed for adult learners with busy lives, the upcoming in-person healthcare events will provide prospective students with hands-on exposure to their training options, with insight into career pathways and opportunities to speak directly with instructors and admissions staff.

STI will first host an introductory Dental Assisting & Medical Assisting Walk-In Day from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, which will be followed by two separate, focused presentations on the Dental Assisting and Medical Assisting programs, each starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

All three events, which are being held at STI’s 250 Foundry St. campus in Easton, are free. (Guests must enter through the STI lobby, not the high school entrance.) Walk-ins are welcome for these events, but online registration is encouraged via the following links:

In addition, STI will hold a Spring Open House for all of its career training programs on Thursday, March 26, offering attendees a chance to explore the full range of available healthcare and trades training, tour the campus, and learn about admissions, financial aid and career placement services.

Online registration is also encouraged for the Spring Open House via the following link:

Southeastern Technical Institute emphasizes hands-on learning, affordable tuition, small class sizes and flexible part-time evening programs. Financial aid is available for those who qualify, and students receive career readiness and job placement assistance.

Lastly, starting in March, STI is offering a free, grant-funded Culinary Training program for qualifying adult learners ages 18 and older. This unique opportunity allows participants to enter the culinary field with no entrance exam or high school transcript required.

The free Culinary Training program, funded through MassHire and the Greater Brockton Workforce Board, is being taught by STI instructors and will run Monday through Thursday evenings from 4 to 9:30 p.m., beginning with March 2, at STI’s Easton campus. Interested individuals must contact STI Admissions by email at stiadmissions@stitech.edu to learn more.

“These events are about meeting people where they are and showing them what’s possible,” said Executive Director Kevin A. Lazaro. “Whether someone is exploring healthcare, the trades or a completely new career path, Southeastern Technical Institute is here to help them build skills, gain confidence and move toward a meaningful future.”
