NHSAA Reaffirms Commitment to Public Education and Opportunities for All Students

CONCORD, N.H. — The following is a statement from the New Hampshire School Administrators Association:

“At a time of heightened public discourse regarding the role and structure of our schools, the New Hampshire School Administrators Association (NHSAA) believes it is vital to continue to build on our foundational belief: that public education is the hallmark of a free and democratic society. We strive to champion the cause of all children, ensuring they have the ability to engage in supported and enriching educational experiences regardless of their background or personal beliefs. The NHSAA would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to public education in New Hampshire. We stand ready to collaboratively work with the Governor, the New Hampshire Legislature, and the New Hampshire Education Department to ensure that all New Hampshire students have access to their constitutionally guaranteed right to a public education. A strong and supported public education system results in thriving communities and an informed citizenry.

“Our members are dedicated to working with their learning communities to provide engaging, personalized, and holistic educational opportunities that support all public-school students and staff while honoring their academic needs, interests, growth, and wellbeing. The Association remains steadfast in its resolve that all New Hampshire public schools must provide safe, inclusive, and nurturing environments. This includes a commitment to anti-discrimination practices and the development of leaders who possess the skills and abilities to serve all students effectively.

“New Hampshire has made a constitutional commitment to provide equitable access for all public-school students. The NHSAA looks forward to continuing our partnership with the New Hampshire Legislature, the Governor, and the Department of Education to uphold these values and support the success of every student in our state.”
