CHELMSFORD — The Chelmsford Police Department is asking for public assistance as they investigate a three-vehicle crash on Tyngsborough Road that sent two people to a local hospital.
On Saturday, Jan. 3, at approximately 5 p.m., Chelmsford Police were dispatched to the area of 118 Tyngsborough Road for a report of a crash.
Officers arrived to discover a three-vehicle crash involving a Honda Pilot, a Honda CRV and a Honda Civic. The driver and a passenger in the CRV suffered injuries and were taken to Lowell General Hospital.
A preliminary investigation determined that the Honda Pilot crossed the center line of the road and collided head-on with the Honda CRV. The CRV rolled over, landing back on its wheels. The Honda Civic then collided with the Pilot.
No one in the Pilot or Civic were injured.
An active investigation into this crash remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to please come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Shawn Brady at 978-256-2521 x275.
