ACTON — Chief James Cogan reports that the Acton Police Department arrested two individuals on firearms charges.
TRUTH UNDERWOOD, AGE 25 of OAK HARBOR, WASHINGTON, was arrested and charged with:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
LELIA PERRY, AGE 20, of GREENFIELD, was arrested and charged with:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
- Receiving a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number.
On Monday, Dec. 22, at approximately 2:48 a.m., Acton Police conducted a routine traffic stop of a black Nissan with an expired registration.
While speaking with the driver, UNDERWOOD, officers observed a firearm inside the vehicle.
While conducting a search of the occupants, officers located an additional firearm on PERRY’s person.
Both weapons, 9mm firearms, were loaded with a round in the chamber.
UNDERWOOD and PERRY were arrested without incident.
UNDERWOOD and PERRY were arraigned at Concord District Court on Tuesday.
