DRACUT — Dracut families are invited to Dracut Fire Headquarters on Sunday morning to get free pictures with Santa Claus and to explore fire trucks.

Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided to families who want to visit with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon thanks to the Dracut Firefighters Union Local 2586. Dracut Fire Headquarters is located at 488 Pleasant St.

Santa will arrive and leave the event on the Dracut Fire Department’s brand new Tower 1, and will sit for photos with children during his visit. Children are welcome to explore the department’s fire trucks during their visit.

Families are also invited to participate in the Dracut Fire Department’s ongoing Toy Drive, which is collecting new and unwrapped gifts for Toys for Local Children, a non-profit group that supports families in Middlesex and Essex counties.

About Toys for Local Children:

Toys for Local Children is a Somerville-based non-profit organization that distributes toys to children in Middlesex and Essex counties both at Christmas and year round when families suffer losses due to fires or other emergencies. Some of the toys will be retained by Dracut firefighters for distribution to children in Dracut whose families have experienced losses due to fires.
