LEXINGTON — The Lexington Minute Men are excited to share that WBZ News will be supporting the company’s “Ignite the Night” Fundraising Dinner by becoming the event’s official media partner, working with the Minute Men to showcase the event and providing the evening’s celebrity host, WBZ-TV Chief Meteorologist Eric Fisher.

The “Ignite the Night” Fundraising Dinner will be held on April 2, 2026, at Heritage Hall in Lexington. The event amplifies the Lexington Minute Men’s ongoing capital campaign, “Securing Our Legacy,” by connecting community members and supporters with the company and raising funds for the campaign through a live auction and paddle raise over a cocktail hour and sit-down, 3-course dinner.

As the official media partner, WBZ News and the Lexington Minute Men will work together to promote the event in the weeks leading up to it with social media and news media coverage, announcements and more.

Through the partnership with WBZ, the Lexington Minute Men are excited to announce that the evening’s celebrity host will be WBZ-TV News Chief Meteorologist Eric Fisher.

Fisher is a 12-year veteran of WBZ News, currently anchoring the weeknight weather segments at 5, 6 and 11 p.m., and frequently contributing to national coverage on CBS News, breaking severe weather for “CBS Evening News” and “CBS Mornings.”

His work as a meteorologist has earned him multiple New England Emmy Awards, and a designation as Boston’s “Best TV Weatherman” from Boston Magazine.

“We could not be more excited to partner with WBZ News and Chief Meteorologist Eric Fisher to bring this event to life,” said Captain Commanding Stephen Cole. “Through their partnership, we are able to shed light on this incredible event, which furthers our ultimate goal of continuing the storied history of the Lexington Minute Men. The success of this event means that we can continue in our mission of representing the real people who fought and lived through the Battle of Lexington. We are grateful to WBZ News for recognizing the importance of our mission and working alongside us to make it a success.”

WBZ-TV will also be donating an auction item to be bid on, which will be shared at a later date.
