Attleboro Fire Department Ambulance Involved in Motor Vehicle Crash

ATTLEBORO — An Attleboro Fire Department ambulance was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon, but there were no reported injuries as a reuslt. 

ATTLEBORO — An Attleboro Fire Department ambulance was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon. 

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, at approximately 2:52 p.m., an Attleboro Fire Department ambulance was involved in a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of County Street and Thacher Street while transporting a patient to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Rescue 2 was operating with emergency lights and sirens activated and proceeded through the intersection when it collided with another vehicle.

An additional ambulance was dispatched to the scene to continue the patient transport to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. The patient did not sustain any additional injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the other vehicle declined medical transport. Both firefighters operating Rescue 2 were uninjured.

The Attleboro Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. Any inquiries regarding the investigation should be directed to the Attleboro Police Department.
