MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — The Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department responded late Sunday night to an incident involving a person who was struck by a train.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, at approximately 10 p.m., the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department was called to the train tracks between Summer Street and Magnolia Avenue for a report of a person struck by a train.
Officers arrived in the area and confirmed that a person was struck. That individual, an adult male, suffered fatal injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by MBTA Transit Police, with assistance from the Essex County District Attorney’s Office. No additional information is available at this time.
