TEWKSBURY — The Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged a Lowell man with unarmed robbery and other charges as a result of an incident on Saturday afternoon.
ALPHONSO WALKER JR., age 28, of LOWELL, was arrested and charged with:
- Unarmed Robbery
- Larceny from a Person
- Resisting Arrest (Two Counts)
- Threatening to Commit a Crime
- Warrant
On Saturday, Nov. 8, at approximately 1:22 p.m., Tewksbury Police were called to the area of 95 Main St., for a report of an unarmed robbery. A reporting party told police that an individual known to him, identified as WALKER, took his jacket, iPhone and other belongings and threatened to kill him during an argument.
An extensive search of the area, which included K9 Units and the Tewksbury Police Drone Unit, eventually located WALKER hiding in the area of 85 Main St. WALKER was taken into custody following a brief struggle. The jacket, phone and other belongings were recovered.
WALKER was arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court.
These are allegations. All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
