GEORGETOWN — Superintendent Dr. Margo Ferrick announces that Jeff Carovillano is leaving his position as Georgetown Middle High School Principal at the end of this school year.
Principal Carovillano will end his five-year career in Georgetown in June.
“Jeff has led our Middle and High Schools with dedication and commitment, all while maintaining a genuine relationship with students and keeping their needs, and the needs of staff, at the forefront,” said Superintendent Dr. Ferrick. “On behalf of Georgetown Public Schools, I would like to thank Jeff for his impact during his tenure. We wish him luck in his future endeavors.”
In his time with Georgetown, Carovillano helped develop the Positive Alternative to School Suspension (PASS) program in partnership with YMCA North Shore. The program offers a supportive, therapeutic environment for students facing suspension.
He is also the founder and advisor of the Georgetown Middle High School Mountain Biking Club, which quickly became a space for students to connect with different peer groups and develop new relationships.
Georgetown Public Schools will be sharing information with the community in the coming weeks regarding the hiring process for a new principal for the 2026-2027 school year.
