On Oct. 19, at approximately 9:07 a.m., Reading Police, while operating near the intersection of Main Street and Franklin Street, received a report of an individual who appeared to be under the influence standing outside of a vehicle in a commercial parking lot.
Upon arrival, officers located a silver Toyota Camry and two individuals, identified as LAMBERT, who was seen outside the vehicle, and HANSON, who appeared to be asleep in the passenger seat.
While speaking with LAMBERT and HANSON, officers determined that both individuals appeared to be under the influence.
During a preliminary investigation, including a search of the vehicle, officers located drug paraphernalia, multiple pairs of brass knuckles, and two bags totaling 21.3 grams of a powdery substance, believed to be heroin/fentanyl.
LAMBERT and HANSON were arrested without incident. During booking, HANSON was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
A subsequent investigation determined that HANSON had an active arrest warrant out of Maine.
LAMBERT was arraigned on Oct. 20.
HANSON was arraigned Oct. 20 and transferred to Massachusetts Trial Court custody.
These are allegations. All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
