DRACUT — The Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Foundation, Inc., announces that it will host its annual comedy night next month to raise money for critical training programs and equipment for police officers in northeastern Massachusetts.

WHEN:

Friday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m.

WHERE:

Four Oaks Country Club, 1 Clubhouse Ln, Dracut, MA

WHAT:

The NEMLEC Foundation hosts its annual comedy night featuring two of Boston’s best comedians, as well as a cheese and cracker display, cocktail reception, and full buffet-style dinner, as well as dessert and coffee.

Comedian Steve Sweeney will be headlining, and a second comedian who is yet to be named will also perform.

There will also be a special presentation made to a fellow non-profit organization — Cops for Kids with Cancer — for their outstanding generosity to so many families struggling with childhood cancer.

Proceeds will assist NEMLEC’s training programs, and provide equipment for NEMLEC SWAT, RRT, K9, STARS, and the NEMLEC Motor Unit. Proceeds also go toward basic and advanced criminal investigation training, and many other essential training programs that are needed by today’s officers. The training programs are available to officers in the NEMLEC region, which is comprised of 68 law enforcement agencies in Middlesex and Essex counties.

To make this event a success, the NEMLEC Foundation is seeking sponsorships at various levels. Sponsors will be recognized in program materials and during the event itself.

Tickets are $75 per person, or $750 for a table of 10. There are also several sponsorship opportunities that range in cost from $250 to $2,000.

Those who would like to buy a ticket or table, donate a raffle or auction item, or become a sponsor for the event should contact Executive Director Sharon Crowley at 978-852-3589, or by email at nemlecfoundation@yahoo.com.
