
TYNGSBOROUGH — The Tyngsborough Police and Fire Departments responded Sunday night to a serious three-vehicle crash on Long Pond Road.
On Sunday, Oct. 19, at approximately 6:18 p.m., the Tyngsborough Police and Fire Departments were called to the area of 24 Long Pond Road for a report of a crash.
First responders arrived to discover a three-vehicle crash. An adult woman who was driving one of the vehicles suffered potentially life-threatening injuries. She was taken by Ambulance to Tyngsborough High School, and from there was flown by MedFlight to a Worcester-area trauma center.
An adult woman who was a passenger in another vehicle was transported to a local hospital, as was an adult man who was driving the other vehicle.
Long Pond Road was closed in the area while police gathered evidence for an ongoing investigation.
The crash remains under investigation by the Tyngsborough Police Department, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and State Police Detectives attached to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
