Ludlow Police and Fire Invites Residents to Annual Open House

LUDLOW — Ludlow Police and Fire would like to invite residents to the departments’ annual open house. 

This year’s open house will be held Sunday, Oct. 19, from 1-4 p.m., and will be held rain or shine.


Representatives from the Ludlow Health Department will also be in attendance to present public health and emergency preparedness information. 

The event will feature a variety of demonstrations, games, and educational information for community members, including:

Fire Department: 

  • Vehicle Displays
  • Thermal Imaging Cameras
  • “Sparky” the Fire Dog
  • Popcorn and Balloons
  • Fire Prevention Jeopardy Game
  • Escape Maze Learning Tool
  • DCR Forest Fire Staff and “Smokey Bear”
  • Jaws of Life Demonstration at 2 p.m.
  • Ice/Cold Water Rescue Display
  • Tanker Truck Demonstration
  • Fire Prevention Information
  • The Public Health Department and Emergency Preparedness

Police Department: 

  • Vehicle Displays
  • Special Response Team Display
  • K9 Demo
  • Dispatch Center
  • Special Police Program
  • School Resource Officer
  • Detective Bureau
  • Internet Fraud Prevention Information
  • Patrol Division
  • Ludlow Cares Coalition
