TEWKSBURY — An investigation conducted by the Tewksbury Police Department Narcotics Unit led police to charge a 19-year-old New York man with drug distribution and motor vehicles offenses.

PABLO PIMENTAL, AGE 19, of BRONX, N.Y., was arrested and charged with:

  • Distribution of a Class B Substance (Cocaine)
  • Operating with a Suspended Registration

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, at approximately 7:25 p.m., members of the Tewksbury Police Narcotics Unit observed the driver of a Nissan Rogue conduct what appeared to be a drug transaction in the area of Main and Shawsheen streets.

Police learned that the Nissan Rogue had a suspended registration and was not insured and conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area. Police simultaneously approached another individual involved in the apparent drug deal and confirmed that he was in possession of 3.5 grams of cocaine.

That individual, a 49-YEAR-OLD TEWKSBURY MAN, will be summonsed to court at a later date to face a charge of Possession of a Class B Substance.

PIMENTEL was arrested at the scene.

A subsequent search of PIMENTEL’s vehicle located more than $500 in cash.

PIMENTEL was arraigned Wednesday in Lowell District Court.

These are allegations. All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
