Mansfield Police Department Responds to Crash Involving School Bus

MANSFIELD — Chief Ronald Sellon reports that the Mansfield Police Department responded to a crash involving a school bus this afternoon.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Mansfield Police and Fire responded to the intersection of Balcom and Otis Streets for a report of a crash between a vehicle and a Mansfield Public Schools bus.

The bus was carrying approximately 30 middle and high school students at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported among the students or the bus driver.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 17-year-old female from North Attleborough, was transported by Mansfield Fire to an area hospital as a precaution.

Students were transferred onto another bus and brought home.

Mansfield Public Schools immediately notified families of the incident.

The crash remains under investigation by Mansfield Police Traffic Officer Dave Kinahan.
