NAHANT — Residents are invited to share their thoughts about the Lynnway Multimodal Corridor Project at a forum in Town Hall on Thursday, Oct. 9.
The Lynnway (Route 1A) is owned and operated by the state Department of Conservation & Recreation and is the main connector to the Town via the Lynnway Rotary and Nahant Road. The MBTA is proposing a significant investment to improve safety for both drivers and pedestrians, create faster and more reliable bus service, and dedicate protected bike lanes connecting to Nahant Beach and the Northern Strand Trail in Lynn.
The forum will be open house style, meaning that attendees will be able to ask MBTA staff questions directly from 7-9 p.m. in Town Hall. There will be no formal presentation. Similar MBTA Lynnway Project forums have been successful, providing staff with vital feedback from those most affected by the project.
Nahant residents may fill out physical feedback forms at the event. Residents who cannot attend are urged to complete the Lynnway Multimodal Corridor Survey 2025 online.
