BURLINGTON — Chief Thomas P. Browne reports that the Burlington Police Department has charged three individuals with trespassing at a federal office facility.
On Friday, Sept. 12, at about 11 a.m., Burlington Police were dispatched to the Office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, 1000 District Ave., for reports of three individuals trespassing.
Upon arrival, the Burlington Police found three suspects and attempted to de-escalate the situation. All three individuals refused to leave.
NATHAN PHILIPS, AGE 58, of NEWTON, NASTASIA LAWTON-STICKLOR, AGE 43, of LEOMINSTER, and ELEANOR REID, AGE 33, of HANOVER, N.H., were arrested without incident and booked at the Burlington Police Station.
PHILIPS, LAWTON-STICKLER, and REID were charged with one count of trespassing.
At this time, Burlington Police believe this was a planned protest with arrests being the ultimate goal.
PHILIPS, LAWTON-STICKLER, and REID are scheduled to be arraigned in Woburn District Court on Friday.
The incident remains under investigation by the Burlington Police Department.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
