Townsend Police Seek Public Assistance with Investigation Into Stolen E-bike

TOWNSEND — Chief James Sartell reports that Townsend Police are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate the theft of an E-bike from a property in the Town Center. 

On Sunday, Aug. 24, the Townsend Police Department was notified that an E-bike was stolen outside of a home on Elm Street in Townsend Center.

Townsend Police obtained surveillance footage that shows a suspect taking the bike. Police are now hoping members of the public can help them identify the individual seen in surveillance video.

Police were able to determine that the bike — a white and blue ASKGO Sport Electric Bike — was stolen on Sunday about 2 a.m. The theft was reported later in the day.

Anyone with information on this incident, or anyone who believes they can identify the individual shown in surveillance, is asked to call Townsend Police at 978-597-6214.
