RANDOLPH — Chief Anthony Marag reports that the Randolph Police Department responded to an armed robbery of a gas station on Tuesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, Aug. 26, at approximately 1:20 p.m., Randolph Police responded to an armed robbery involving a suspect armed with a gun at Prestige Gas at 1201 North Main St.
The suspect, armed with a black semiautomatic handgun, then fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall Black male wearing a white short-sleeve T-shirt, blue or olive shorts, black and white sneakers, black gloves, and a blue Red Sox baseball hat over a ski mask. The suspect was also carrying a light gray plastic bag.
While searching for the suspect, two Randolph Police cruisers collided at the intersection of Mitchell and Royal streets. The officers driving the cruisers were transported to the hospital with various non-life-threatening injuries.
The robbery and crash are still under investigation by the Randolph Police.
