STOW — Police Chief Michael Sallese and Fire Chief Barry Evers report that the Stow Police and Fire Departments responded early Saturday to a single vehicle fatal crash.
On Saturday, Aug. 23, at approximately 3:55 a.m., the Stow Police and Fire Departments were called to the area of 70 Crescent St., for reports of a single vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, first responders found a single vehicle, a Lexus ES fully engulfed in flames.
A preliminary investigation determined that the vehicle struck a tree outside a home on Crescent Street, rolled over and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
The crash remains under investigation by the Stow Police Department, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
