RAYNHAM — Chief Bryan LaCivita and the Raynham Fire Department are pleased to announce that Firefighter/Paramedic Andrew Alexander has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

Lt. Alexander is a 17-year veteran of the department. He began his career as a call firefighter in 2006 before transitioning to a full-time role in 2008.

Over the years, he has earned numerous officer certifications through the Massachusetts Fire Academy and holds a bachelor’s degree in fire administration.

In his new role, Lt. Alexander will serve as the shift commander for Group 1.

“Lt. Alexander has demonstrated dedication, leadership, and a strong commitment to the community throughout his career,” said Chief LaCivita. “His experience and professionalism make him an outstanding choice for this leadership role.”

Lt. Alexander is an active member of the Raynham Fire Department Honor Guard and participates in the Department’s Community Outreach Program, teaching fire safety to students in the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District and to senior citizens.

He lives in Raynham with his wife and daughters. He comes from a family of firefighters — his brother, Justin, currently serves as the Fire Chief in the Town of Easton, and his father, Donald, is a retired Raynham Fire Lieutenant who served the town for more than 30 years.
