Groveland Water and Sewer Department Informs Residents of Service Interruption Next Week

GROVELAND — The Groveland Water and Sewer Department seeks to inform residents of a service interruption next week due to necessary valve repairs.

The repairs will take place on Monday, July 14, with work beginning at 8 a.m. This will require a shutdown of water service in a small area of Groveland.

The area affected will be Center Street, between Salem Street and Washington Street. This includes Hillview Drive

Residents are asked to avoid the affected areas if possible so that the department can complete the repairs safely and in a timely manner.

The department would like to advise that due to the shutdown and repairs, some loss of pressure and water discoloration may occur. These effects may occur outside of the work area due to rerouting of water during the shutdown.

Water discoloration can be cleared by running cold water from the faucet. While discoloration does not pose an immediate health risk, it is best to avoid drinking the discolored water until the issue is resolved.

The Groveland Water and Sewer Department thanks residents for their cooperation and patience during this project.
