FALL RIVER — The following is a statement from Fall River Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Tracy Curley:
“Fall River Public Schools was recently made aware that an employee had been arrested on serious charges involving alleged conduct occurring outside of school hours and off school property.
“The individual is no longer employed by or affiliated with Fall River Public Schools in any capacity. At this time, we have not received any reports indicating that the alleged conduct is in any way connected to the Fall River Public Schools.
“We are deeply troubled by these allegations and understand the impact this may have on our school community. Counseling and support services are available to any student or staff member who may need them, and we encourage anyone in need to contact the school principal or their direct supervisor.
“The safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. We remain committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students, and we will continue to take every step necessary to uphold the trust of our families and community.”
