Littleton Public Schools Celebrates ‘The Spirit of Shaker Lane’: Light it Up Day

LITTLETON — Superintendent Dr. Kelly Clenchy, Principal Michelle Kane and Assistant Principal Rebecca Deacon share that students celebrated each other during Shaker Lane School’s final Spirit Day of the school year, Light it Up Day.

On Light it Up Day, which occurred on June 12, all Shaker Lane students celebrated the end of the school year. Students were given light-up necklaces to wear throughout the day.

Classroom teachers took the opportunity to turn out the lights, play fun music, and let the kids have a dance party.

“Our students ‘light up’ when learning new things! Students and staff are so proud of all of the progress and hard work the students put into this year,” said Assistant Principal Deacon. “Having a dance party was a fantastic way to celebrate everyone!”
