WRENTHAM — The Town of Wrentham is pleased to announce that four new Level 3 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have been installed and are now operational in the Center Parking Lot.

These fast-charging stations are now available for public use, offering residents and visitors a convenient way to charge their electric vehicles. The Center Lot is located at 5 Dedham Street, at the intersection of Dedham and Franklin Streets.

This project came at no cost to the Town thanks to a donation from East Coast Renewable Energy, which also coordinated the installation through its preferred vendor, Inovis Energy. Inovis works closely with Massachusetts municipalities on sustainable energy solutions and was instrumental in bringing this initiative to life.

The EV charging project was further supported by National Grid, whose incentive program heavily subsidized the installation.

All proceeds from the chargers are directed into a dedicated revolving fund. This fund will support energy costs, administrative expenses and associated fees, ensuring that the chargers remain financially self-sustaining.

In addition to the Center Lot chargers, the Town has also partnered on an EV charging project at Wrentham Town Hall. That project is currently in the design phase, with the goal of having two additional EV charging spots operational by the end of the summer.
