HULL — Superintendent Michael Jette and Principal Kyle Shaw are pleased to share that Hull Public Schools hosted another successful Bike to School Day this morning at the Jacobs School.

Held as part of National Bike Month, the Jacobs School’s annual Bike to School Day on Friday, May 30, brought together students, families, and school staff for a joyful and active start to the school day.

This year’s event featured two designated starting locations to ensure a safe and smooth experience for all participants. Students in Grades K-3 gathered and departed from the Hull Lifesaving Museum, while students in Grades 4-7 began their ride from the Dustbowl. These adjustments were made with student safety in mind and to avoid ongoing construction near the Allerton Seawall.

“We’re proud to see so many students and families participate in this annual tradition,” said Principal Shaw. “It’s a great way to promote physical activity and start the day with energy and positivity.”

The event was made possible thanks to the support of school staff, parent volunteers, and Hull Police officers who helped guide riders and ensure everyone’s safety along the way.

Bike to School Day supports the goals of the national Walk, Bike & Roll to School initiative, which promotes regular physical activity and encourages healthy habits among school-aged children.

“We’re thankful to everyone who helped make today’s event a success,” said Superintendent Jette. “We look forward to seeing even more students and families next year.”
