MARLBOROUGH — Superintendent-Director Ernest F. Houle is pleased to share that hundreds of sophomore and junior students attended the annual Life After Assabet career fair, preparing themselves for their post-graduation futures.

Life After Assabet is an annual event that welcomes local universities, organizations and more, allowing students to network and discover post-grad opportunities for themselves.

“This event is all about helping students prepare for a future or career beyond Assabet,” said Kevin Lazaro, Director of College, Career, and Cooperative Placements.

This year, on Friday, May 9, 32 vendors lined the gym and spoke to over 400 sophomore and junior students.

“I would like to thank Ian Dunnigan for providing the post-graduate perspective that enhanced the efficiency of the event,” said Lazaro. “Also, thanks to the guidance team, administration and teachers, who all play a part in ensuring our students are equipped with the proper tools to begin their careers.”

“We strive to provide an education that results in academic, career, and technical proficiency. Life After Assabet is a very important event that allows our students approaching graduation to evaluate what opportunities are available to them in fields they are passionate about,” said Superintendent Houle. “We are pleased to continue to host this event for our students.”

Superintendent Houle and Lazaro extend their thanks to all the universities and organizations that took the time to attend Life After Assabet and speak to students.
