Karin Denholm Selected as New Indian River School Principal

Superintendent Amanda Isabelle is pleased to share that Karin Denholm will be returning to the Mascoma Valley School District to serve as Principal of Indian River School for the 2025-2026 school year.

Denholm served as Assistant Principal at Mascoma Valley Regional High School from 2017-2020, where she oversaw daily operations, some curriculum and instructional practices, and several committees helping MVRHS to clarify and reflect upon its instructional and operational goals.

Denholm began her educational career in 2003 as a Grade 8 teacher at Charlestown Middle School in Charlestown. She was named the Fall Mountain Regional School District’s Teacher of the Year in 2011.

She joined Cornish School District in 2020 and currently serves as Principal of Cornish Elementary School.

Denholm holds a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Studies from Plymouth State University. She also earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University, where she was named an Outstanding Graduate in 2016.

“I am very excited to be returning to the Mascoma Valley Regional School District,” she said. “In the days since being hired, it has been humbling to receive so many kind words from the community. I look forward to meeting the staff, students, and families, and to working together to find the best path forward for Indian River School.”
