WIL HALL, AGE 32 of SOMERVILLE was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Malicious Destruction of a Motor Vehicle (Two Counts)

On Feb. 14, Stoneham Police were notified by a resident that their car, which was parked in the area of Main Street at Hill Court, appeared to have suffered damage consistent with scratches from an object.

Stoneham Police immediately opened an investigation and utilized surveillance footage from local businesses to try and identify a suspect.

On March 21, Stoneham Police were called back to Main Street at Hill Court for reports of the same vehicle, from the previous incident, that appeared to have four tires slashed.

On March 23, Stoneham Police were called to Main Street for another report of a vehicle that appeared to have had all four tires slashed.

During a subsequent investigation, Stoneham Police were able to identify the suspect as HALL

Stoneham Police obtained an arrest warrant for HALL. Stoneham Police, in collaboration with Somerville Police, arrested HALL on April 2 without incident.

HALL is scheduled to be arraigned in Woburn District Court on Monday.

Stoneham Police would like to recognize the local businesses who assisted in providing surveillance footage and who cooperated during this case.

“This was great investigative work by our detectives. We greatly appreciate the support from Somerville Police as well as the cooperation of so many people who assisted in the investigation,” said Chief O’Connor.
