IPSWICH — The Town of Ipswich shares the following information about a one-day pop-up pub event in the downtown area.
The Old Phone Pub, created by Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran, will operate out of a building behind EBSCO on Friday.
Atlantic Records has informed the Town that the pub is open ONLY to those who have received a confirmation text, plus one guest. Guests must show a valid ID. Admission, for those with a valid text (no copies or screenshots) is still not guaranteed and subject to first-come, first-served access.
The Town of Ipswich highly encourages the general public to avoid driving in the area. The pub is not in a readily visible location, and there are no public events scheduled.
Parking is extremely limited in the downtown area, and Union Street will be closed on Friday. The Riverwalk also will be closed. Those who have received a confirmation text are asked to use commuter rail or a ride-share service, rather than driving into downtown.
(Limited MEDIA PARKING is available behind the Ipswich Police Station on South Main Street. Media are asked to stage in a designated area at 69 South Main St. Further media questions should be directed to Atlantic Records.)
