NORFOLK — The Town of Norfolk Department of Public Works has announced a temporary water main shutdown due to an ongoing construction project on Seekonk Street.
The shutdown is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, March 31.
The water main shutdown will affect the following streets: Seekonk Street, Main Street, Needham Street, Norwell Street, Spring Street, and Alice Avenue.
The construction project has been focused on essential infrastructure enhancements, which include replacing aged culvert pipes, the water main, and water services along Seekonk Street.
Construction began Thursday, March 20, and will continue over the next few months. Initially, the work will have a limited impact on residents and traffic. However, a full road closure will be necessary after the school summer break begins in June. The project is planned to be completed early to mid-September.
For more information or questions regarding the project, visit the Norfolk DPW website, email dpw@norfolk.ma.us, or call 508-528-4990.
