CANTON — Town Administrator Charles Doody and Director Diane Tynan are pleased to share that the Town’s Department of Elder and Human Services (DEHS) hosted a successful St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon on Monday, March 17. Guests enjoyed delicious food, friends, and festive entertainment.
The event was held at the Canton Senior Center, where Town officials and local government leaders joined 80-plus guests to enjoy the holiday. The luncheon included a corned beef dinner from Russell Morin Catering and a performance by Forbes School of Irish Dance students.
Canton’s DEHS has hosted St. Patrick’s Day luncheons in various locations for the last 30 years.
“I’d like to recognize the DEHS staff for all of their hard work in planning and executing this event. Their help ensured that our community was able to enjoy an afternoon of fun and good company,” said Director Tynan. “I also wish to thank Norfolk County Commissioner Richard Staiti, Canton Select Board Vice Chair JR McCourt, and Canton Selectman John Connolly for joining us.”
Town Administrator Doody applauded the groups behind the day’s success.
“Thank you to the Russell Morin Catering team and the Forbes School of Irish Dance for providing excellent food and entertainment for our luncheon guests,” said Town Administrator Doody. “Their efforts, along with the work done by the DEHS staff, were the reason this event was a success. This luncheon was a special display of community, and we highly appreciate everyone who came together to make it happen.”
