WAREHAM — Superintendent Matt D’Andrea and Principal Tracie Cote are pleased to share that the Wareham Middle School Drama Club presented “Moana JR.” this past weekend.
The show was held March 12 and 13 at Wareham Middle School. In total, 30 middle school students participated in the production as part of the cast and crew.
Janelle Brangwynne and Jessica Hathaway, the Wareham Middle School Drama Club advisors, directed “Moana JR.” This is their third year leading the club.
Beginning in November, the Drama Club rehearsed one to three days each week to prepare for the March performances.
Seventh grader Ava Ambarik portrayed Moana, and 5th grader Joshua Mullarkey-Conery played Maui.
“We had two almost-sold-out shows, and this was our most successful show since before the COVID-19 pandemic,” Brangwynne said. “We are both really proud of the hard work of all our cast members and are so pleased with their performances!”
“I am incredibly proud of our Wareham Middle School Drama Club for delivering such an outstanding performance,” Superintendent D’Andrea said. “Their hard work, creativity, and teamwork truly shined on the stage. Thank you to Janelle Brangwynne and Jessica Hathaway, the dedicated advisors who guided our students every step of the way.”
