Burlington Police Seeking Public Assistance in Identifying Two Suspects in Connection to Recent Shoplifting Incident

BURLINGTON — Chief Thomas Browne reports that the Burlington Police Department is seeking to identify two suspects in connection to a recent shoplifting incident. 

On Monday, March 10, at approximately 5 p.m., Burlington Police responded to a LensCrafters inside Macy’s at the Burlington Mall, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, for reports of shoplifting. 

A preliminary investigation determined that one suspect distracted an employee of the store while the other suspect took sunglasses and concealed them in a backpack. The suspects stole approximately $9,000 in merchandise. 

The suspects are known as frequent shoplifters at the store, but have yet to be identified.
