PLAINVILLE — Chief Robert Skinner is pleased to share that Plainville Firefighter Jonathan Gray successfully completed and graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighter Academy on Friday, March 7.
Firefighter Gray was one of 33 graduates from more than a dozen departments in the Career Recruit Firefighter Training Program Class #328.
During the 50-day training program, participants receive classroom training in all basic firefighter skills. They practice first under non-fire conditions and then during controlled fire conditions. The graduates are now certified at the level of Firefighter I and II and in hazardous material operation.
The other 32 graduates of Class #328 represent the fire departments of Acton, Arlington, Ashland, Burlington, Dracut, Fall River, Holden, Littleton, Lowell, Melrose, Methuen, Milford, Natick, Watertown, Westborough, and Wilmington.
“Congratulations to Firefighter Gray for completing the 50-day Career Recruit Firefighting Training Program,” Chief Skinner said. “Firefighter Gray will now return to Plainville and begin working his shifts. We welcome him back!”
