BEDFORD — On behalf of the men and women of the Bedford Police Department, Chief John Fisher shares the following statement regarding the passing of Mike Rosenberg.

“We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of our friend Mike Rosenberg on Monday night.

“Mike served our community with distinction in countless ways. He served several terms on both the School Committee and Select Board and donated countless hours to community organizations.

“Mike was a fixture for us at the Department, attending each and every police event with enthusiasm. He was a true part of our Bedford Police community.

“From his perch as a reporter for 50 years, he made sure Bedford residents were fully informed. He told thousands of stories with the highest levels of respect and care. It was an honor to work with him.

“We were fortunate that Mike became the Bedford Citizen’s Community Reporter five years ago, continuing to cover Bedford’s news as he was on his final night with us.

“His devotion and commitment to making Bedford a better place will be missed.

“The thoughts of the men and women of our Department are with Mike’s wife, Dawn, his daughters, Rebecca and Sarah, and the rest of his family and friends.”
