JGPR Once Again Named Among Nation’s Top Public Relations Agencies

GROVELAND — John Guilfoil Public Relations (JGPR) is proud to announce that the company has been named to the PRNEWS 2025 Agency Elite Top 120 for the second time in its history.

PRNEWS is a leading source for industry news, recognition and peer-to-peer networking within the communications industry. Each year, an exclusive group of agencies is selected to represent the best and brightest firms in Public Relations and Communications.

In recognizing JGPR as an Agency Elite Top 120 honoree, PRNEWS lauded JGPR’s efforts in updating its Mission Statement, creating its first Vision Statement, first-ever five-year Strategic Plan, a new employee evaluation tool, and implementing the use of SMART Goals and DiSC Assessments within the company.

JGPR also rolled out a new Public Relations Teams framework, ensuring that clients have access to members of a full team of associates at all times rather than over-relying on a single point of contact. This move has also improved work-life balance companywide as the company has grown from a 1-2 person startup over the past 11 years into a firm of 22 employees.

“We are incredibly thankful to be recognized among the best communications companies in the country,” said Kristen Potter, Vice President of Digital and Enterprise Accounts. “This award is not about results alone. It’s about innovation, creative thinking, and bold strategy. That’s the core of who the JGPR team is.”

“This past year has been transformative. The process of reassessment and re-evaluation has helped us create a cohesive team that does great things on behalf of all of our clients, every day,” said Tom Zuppa, Public Relations Account Director. “In 11 years we have built a national reputation for delivering high-quality content, strategy, and crisis management. I am deeply thankful to our team and to our clients across the country who put their faith in us.”

The companies chosen by PRNEWS demonstrate the wide range of industry specializations and core capabilities that PR, marketing and communications encompass — from media relations to crisis comms to content creation. They also highlight the new areas of expertise formulated to accommodate new client needs. For instance, affiliate divisions, executive thought leadership programs, influencer marketing capabilities, event PR and social media services have been added to the companies’ repertoires.

JGPR was first named to the Agency Elite list in 2022.

This honor is the latest in a series of high-profile awards for the company. JGPR was named the Global Crisis and Issues Manager of the Year at the ICCO/PRCA Global Awards for its work with the Stoughton, Mass. Police Department in helping to effectively and appropriately communicate about a horrific act of police misconduct.

JGPR has won several other national PRNEWS awards, an Agency Innovator Award for creation of its training center JGPR Academy, and a Digital Award for its web redesign and rebranding on behalf of the Town of Groveland, Mass. Since 2020 the company has won more than 30 Bell Ringer awards from the PR Club of New England.

“I’m beyond proud to be named to the 2025 Agency Elite Top 120 along with some of the biggest and best firms in the country. This recognition is a complete team effort and wouldn’t be possible without our first responder, school and municipal clients,” said company founder John Guilfoil. “Our efforts within the last year to restructure our operations were done with our clients in mind to provide them better service, and we have accomplished that.”
