DRACUT — Chief Michael Cunha is pleased to share that Dracut Fire Department participated in the holiday drive-through hosted by the Centerville Sportsmans Club.

The holiday drive-through event took place on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dracut Town Hall, 61 Arlington St.

During the event residents and community members had the opportunity to drive through the area and see a variety of holiday displays, including a new Christmas Tree display that features 7,300 bulbs and is hoisted 100 feet in the air by a crane donated by SRD Enterprises. The display was also assembled and organized by Dracut Selectman and member of the Sportsmans Club, Josh Taylor.

Many residents also dropped off toys throughout the event for families in need. Donations will benefit Toys for Local Children, a charity that collects toys for children in the area. Dracut Fire and Police also collected toys throughout the month during a stuff-a-cruiser event and a visit from Santa organized by the Dracut Firefighters Union.

Dracut Fire would like to thank everyone who came and donated this holiday season.
