WAYLAND — Chief Ed Burman is inviting the community to join Wayland Police officers and supervisors for hot cocoa during the annual Community Stroll on Saturday, Dec. 14.

WHEN:

Saturday, Dec. 14, from 2-3p.m.

WHERE:

The Bagel Table, 21 Andrew Ave., Wayland

WHAT:

Wayland Police officers and supervisors will be on hand at The Bagel Table to share free hot cocoa and conversation with community members during the town’s annual Holiday Stroll.

Cocoa with a Cop is modelled after Coffee with a Cop, a nationwide series of events that bring police and community members together for conversation and relationship building.

The Community Stroll will also feature the arrival of Santa Claus at 3 p.m., with a Wayland Police escort.

There will also be opportunities to touch a vehicle at the Wayland Police Department between 2 and 5 p.m. Businesses throughout downtown Wayland will be open to the public with special holiday offerings.

“We invite community members to join us at The Bagel Table to warm up and talk over some hot cocoa,” said Chief Burman. “The Holiday Stroll is a wonderful annual event and we’re eager to engage with our community as it shines this holiday season.”
