Sudbury Police and Fire Departments Respond to Fatal Crash on Boston Post Road

SUDBURY — On Tuesday, Nov. 19, at about 8:22 a.m., numerous calls were received by Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center reporting a head-on collision in the area of 83 Boston Post Road (Rte. 20).

SUDBURY — On Tuesday, Nov. 19, at about 8:22 a.m., numerous calls were received by Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center reporting a head-on collision in the area of 83 Boston Post Road (Rte. 20).

Responding units from the Sudbury Police Department arrived discovering one of the operators was unresponsive. Life-saving measures were initiated by officers, who then turned care over to the Sudbury Fire Department. The male party was transported to MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham by Sudbury Fire personnel where he was pronounced deceased.

The operator of the other involved vehicle was transported to an area hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Boston Post Road was closed for several hours as the scene was processed following the transport of both operators.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sudbury Police Department as well as the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section under the guidance of the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
