Littleton Police Awarded $19,863 in State Municipal Road Safety Grant Program 

LITTLETON — Chief Matthew Pinard is pleased to share that the Littleton Police Department was awarded a $19,863.50 grant through the state’s Municipal Road Safety Grant Program.

LITTLETON — Chief Matthew Pinard is pleased to share that the Littleton Police Department was awarded a $19,863.50 grant through the state’s Municipal Road Safety Grant Program.  

Littleton Police will be using the funding to conduct directed traffic enforcement over the next few months. This will include serval campaigns of enforcement, such as pedestrian and crosswalk safety, distracted driving, speeding, and other non-enforcement components including community education. 

The grant is part of $12.4 million in federal grant funding awarded by the Healey-Driscoll Administration to 191 municipal and state agencies for road safety improvement programs. The grants are administered through the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s Office of Grants & Research. 

“I would like to thank the Healey-Driscoll Administration for awarding us this funding which will help us continue to make Littleton roads safe for all,” said Chief Pinard. “This funding will allow us to expand our traffic safety programs and mitigate unsafe driving practices by all.”
