CANTON — Town Administrator Charles Doody wishes to inform community members that the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) will be repaving the Canton Junction parking lot during the last week of November.
The Canton Junction lot is scheduled to be affected from Sunday, Nov. 24, to Wednesday, Nov. 27 — the week of Thanksgiving.
On Nov. 24 and 25, the parking lot will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the milling phase. On Nov. 26 and 27, the lot will be fully closed for the entire day for paving.
These dates reflect the tentative schedule set by the MBTA as part of a larger effort to repave 12 of its parking lots across various locations. The work will take place weather permitting.
Commuters will still have access to the Canton Center lot during the affected days.
During the paving project, A-frame signs will be on-site at the Canton Junction Station to provide further information to customers.
Residents with questions about the paving project can contact the MBTA at 617-222-3200.
