STONEHAM — Police Chief James O’Connor reports that the Stoneham Police Department arrested and charged a Brockton man with trafficking fentanyl following a traffic stop.

KYREE LOBO, AGE 26, of BROCKTON, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Operation of Motor Vehicle with Suspended License
  • Motor Vehicle Equipment Violation
  • License Plate Violation

On Monday, Oct. 21 at approximately 8 p.m., Stoneham Police were conducting routine traffic patrol in the area of Main Street and Pleasant Street when officers observed a white KIA Sportage that did not have license plate lights and that one of the rear blinkers did not appear to be working.

Officers conducted a traffic stop of the motor vehicle and identified the driver as LOBO.

It was determined that LOBO was not the vehicle’s registered owner and that his license was suspended.

It was also determined that LOBO had an active warrant out of Quincy District Court. LOBO was arrested without incident.

During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered numerous small clear bags and tinfoil that contained a white powdery substance believed to be fentanyl, totaling seven ounces.

LOBO was arraigned in Woburn District Court on Oct. 22.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
