LUNENBURG — Police Chief Thomas Gammel and Fire Chief Patrick Sullivan invite the community to attend this year’s Trunk or Treat event and meet the town’s first responders.
Trunk or Treat will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 12-3 p.m. at Lunenburg High School, 1079 Massachusetts Ave., with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 27.
This free, family-friendly event draws hundreds of attendees from Lunenburg and surrounding communities. It features more than 30 community organizations and businesses that decorate car trunks (or a two-parking space area) with a Halloween theme.
Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and reminded to bring a bag for candy. Adults can meet local business owners and receive giveaways. Hot chocolate will be available (while supplies last).
Trunk or Treat is sponsored by the Lunenburg Business Association.
Lunenburg Police would like to wish everyone a fun and safe Halloween and encourage parents and guardians to accompany their children when trick-or-treating which will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.
