LAWRENCE — Chief Executive Officer Carina Pappalardo is pleased to share that The Psychological Center, Inc., will host it’s 6th-Annual Overcoming Obstacles Gala on Friday, Oct. 18 in an effort to raise funding for Psychological Center programming.
WHEN:
Friday, Oct. 18, at 5:30 p.m.
WHERE:
Salvatore’s Italian Restaurant, 354 Merrimack St, Lawrence, MA 01843
WHAT:
The Psychological Center’s 6th-Annual Overcoming Obstacles Gala will feature a theme of “Who Stole the Crown,” with the playful mystery unfolding amid a meaningful and important celebration of making a difference in the lives of others.
The gala is a chance for those in the community to contribute directly to helping those suffering from substance use disorder, homelessness, mental health issues and more.
Funds raised by this event will benefit Pegasus House and Women’s View, as well as the Daybreak Shelter in Lawrence. Pegasus House and Women’s View are live-in residential centers for women suffering from substance use disorder, while Daybreak Shelter is a shelter for the homeless.
“One hundred dollars might be just a night out for some, but for someone with nothing, it’s a lifeline. For the person sitting on the edge of hope, with not even a cent to their name, $100 means so much more than we can imagine. It’s the difference between sleeping on a bench and having a warm bed at Daybreak Shelter. It’s a week’s worth of meals for someone who hasn’t eaten in days. It’s a chance for a young adult at Pegasus House to start therapy or a woman at Women’s View to begin her journey of recovery and reclaim her life,” said CEO Pappalardo. “When someone feels abandoned and worthless, your $100 ticket to our ‘Overcoming Obstacles Royal Ball: Who Stole the Crown’ shows them that they matter. It says, ‘WE SEE YOU AND WE WANT TO HELP.’ This isn’t just about attending a ball — it’s about being part of something bigger, something that changes lives. For the cost of a single night out you give someone the chance to find their value, rebuild their future, and know they’re not alone.”
A full buffet dinner and dessert will be served, along with endless coffee to keep participants energized throughout the evening.
Tickets are $100 per person.
