ACTON — The Town of Acton, in collaboration with Acton 250, would like to announce the following fall event schedule in anticipation of the Town’s 250th anniversary of the commencement of the American Revolution.
The Town of Acton will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in April 2025, and to gear up for this historical event the Town is hosting a variety of free events leading up to the commemoration.
Upcoming fall events include:
- Colonial Books and Brews, After Hours Library Event 21+, Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Action Memorial Library, 486 Main St.
- Open-Air Tap Room, Iron Work Farm Fundraiser: Saturday, Oct. 5, from 4-8 p.m. at Jones-Faulkner Homestead, 5 High St.
- Historic Homes Open House: Sunday, Oct. 6, from 2-5 p.m. at the Jonathan Hosmer House, 300 Main St.
- Acton and Concord’s Roads to Revolution with Robert Gross: Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 7-8 p.m. in Room 204 of Acton Town Hall, 472 Main St.
- Hidden History of Black Boston with Joel Mackall: Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 6 p.m. at Action Memorial Library, 486 Main St.
- Acton Walking Tours with Amy Cole: Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. in South Acton. Register at ActonMemorialLibrary.org
- “One for the Revolutionary Road: Taverns and the American Revolution” with Malcolm Purinton: Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Acton Memorial Library, 486 Main St.
- Native Americans in Southern New England and the Revolution with Daniel Mandell: Thursday, Dec. 5, from 7-8:30 p.m.in Room 204 of Acton Town Hall, 472 Main St.
